sat June 20Th Anna Bella birthday 2 years old her party was at a a local pizza parlor and Elmo was everywhere. the party was a blast. grandpa and papa played the accordion and box with a plate and forks and a friend of the family played the banjo. the picture up above is of sat morning when we made breakfast. it is funny we are both cooks so we end up cooking we don't mind we enjoy it!

Monday and Tuesday i was off Monday i went to goodwill i hit it big i got about three bags of stuff i found a nice duvet cover from natuica i am not sure i spelled that right. the rest of the day i pretty much cleaned the house my in laws were in town Thursday. Thursday morning i cleaned the pool and as i was cleaning it i fell in with my work cloths and my towel on my head as i was cleaning i was thinking to my self if i get called off i am going to swim today well i didn't get called off but i did go swimming as my neighbor was yelling over the fence if i was OK i pulled my self out i was so embarrassed the damages were a bruised knee ,foot and a twisted back so i was hurting at work all night i did not have a very good day after that.when i got home my in laws were here they were stopping off back from Tahoe so i stayed up late and hung out then off to bed. Ronnie made bacon and eggs for breakfast we had a nice breakfast together then we headed off to Monterrey. the drive was nice not allot of traffic when we got there Anna Bella was running around what a year a difference makes she talking up a Storm and running around. she is so cute. Friday June 19, 2009 we hung out at nass's in laws and ate tacos watch some UFC then got back to nass house and started to watch gran tornio but we were so tired we went to bed. Sat June 20Th we got up Ronnie and i made breakfast for everyone Nass, Rachael, Anna Bella and family there was about 10 people he made his famous waffles, i made omelets cheese and veggie , potatoes, and i brought my strawberry and cherry jelly.

June 14Th ,2009 i got called off so i worked in the yard for the most of the day planting flowers eventually the yard will be done but i don't see it done anytime soon. then we went swimming at mikes this is bad usually i am swimming the last week of may and it felt so good i think mikes pool is a little warmer than ours. we had a good time the boys BBQ while i made scalloped potatoes then we watched the hangover not bad it was funny.

mikes worker and friend ho ho made the carna sada, Ronnie made grandmas Mexican rice everything was so good it was nice. the neighbors came out and hung out for the night. June 7Th Mia came back into town so i hurried over to my friends Lisa house to make my pasta salad for a bridal shower shes having , then came home Ronnie made breakfast his yummy waffles we had fresh strawberries and blackberries, cherry , strawberry jam , and bacon and eggs Mia stayed to about 3 then headed home we were SO tired from the night before i think we stayed up to late or too early! we watched the next food network star i am not sure who i like yet when it was guy we knew right away well see.

June 6, 2009 mike invited everyone over he is doing a lot of replanting so his theme is Mexican food i thought i would make tres leche cupcakes with strawberries from around one of the local Fields and they turned out yummy but i guess i am partial because i made them!

June 5Th Friday we made pizza with our garden veggies! Ronnie made the sauce from scratch and it was so good i made the pizza dough, Noah, mike and one of Noah's friend came over so every one made their own pizza it was fun. i love pizza night!!

our fence is done! if you look at earlier pictures the fence was faded grayish color our neighbor fixed and stained the fence i love this brown color it really brings out the color in the flowers now all i need is palm trees!

June 1st i was off and Ronnie made this pasta with our squash it turned out so good he made a white sauce with it then the next night he made a red sauce with it June 3rd Mia my sister in law came into town i tried to get it off but no luck she stayed the night then the next day headed to Reno to see her mom and brother. Ronnie made his red sauce pasta with veggies i think that this try was the best everything was fresh no canned sauce! wed night we has a huge thunder and lighting Storm weird weather for June i still haven't gone swimming the water isn't warm enough for me i hope our summer last longer because i love to swim. Thursday was a sick day for me i stayed in bed and watched Australia and the reader. the reader was really good but so was the book.

i worked sat, sun i got up today June 1 , 2009 and look at what i was greeted by looks like we are having squash tonight, i got to harvest 2 summer squash 1 zuc, and a cucumber that feels good i started this garden and now we can reap the rewards it also looks like i am picking cherries today.

may 28Th, 2009 i am off today it is a Thursday Ronnie made a Thai salad it turned out really good he grilled up steak for it we had a relaxing evening then we watched bolt it is really cute, Friday i got called off so he made the salad again but with chicken i think i like chicken better. we then watched 7 lbs Ronnie was told there is a twist but i don't think so i thought it was pretty predictable it was good but there was no twist.

may 25Th, 2009 it is memorial day i have to work but the rest of the world is off, Ronnie made his awesome waffles i am not sure where he got this recipe but they turned out yummy and we used the jams i made cherry and strawberry and cream cheese. mike and Noah came over we had a great breakfast in the backyard.

may 24th, 2009 we got up and headed to Lucille's for lunch so yummy we were going to try johnny garlics but we really had not heard any thing great, Lucille's never disappoints Ronnie had a hamburger it was the juiciest hamburger i have ever had sooo good we had deep fried pickles if you haven't had those you haven't lived and then i had my favorite BBQ chicken salad and a huge mason jar of sweet tea, i love this place i hope it doesn't get hit by the economy because this is the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi. we then headed to green tangerine Ronnie was so good they were having a sale so he just sat up front and read while i shopped i was so good i only left with about 30.00 worth that is really good. then we headed hope mike came over and we had tri tip sandwiches for dinner with au jus. val also came over and we scraped for a little bit she got 4 layouts done. i also made my strawberry jam today that turned out pretty well it set more i poured more pectin in it, i think this canning thing is just trial and error i will need more practice.

may 23,2009 i got up early and went to the flea market i got cherries, strawberries, avocados and cucumbers yummy everything is so much cheaper, and looks better than what you get from the store! then i headed out to walmart big mistake that place is crazy on Saturdays to get canning stuff i am going to try to make jelly! so got all my stuff and started to read up on canning, it is a little confusing then mike showed up he said him and Rene use to do canning all the time so Ronnie helped me prep and mike helped me do the canning. the cherry jam did not get as thick as i wanted but it turned out really good so i think i am going to call it a syrup it is perfect for pancakes. mike bbq'ed and mike stayed over for dinner. I had a great time this will be a day i remember. but i wish i had payed more attention to my grandmother when she was doing her canning, i also wish i had kept her canning stuff, during the summer she would can chow chow, cherries, tomatoes, pickled okra,blackberries, then in the fall apples, applesauce and apple butter boy i miss those times when we lived in Oregon we had a huge cellar and i would go get stuff so my mom (grandmother ) would cook with it !

May 22, 2009 we invited Lisa & Phil, Dave & val and mike and Noah .Ronnie just bbq'ed it was a good time we just hung out and talked. it looks like from this pic that the men are having a deep discussion!

may 21 i got called off, Noah got his moms car, mike had it detailed and told him he was going to sell it. he was upset it has not been that long since Rene has been gone, but when he got his whole face changed he was happy, boy i remember that time when i first got my car at 16 i was so excited i would go to the grocery store just to pick up stuff but it would take me a hour longer because i was out cruising around!

then with the other half of left over veggies i made a baked eggs yum i love making these it is so easy just cut up what ever you need and spices then throw in your eggs and bake

i used Val's left over veggies and i threw in some left over chicken and made a salad yum!

i made this peach torte from Paula deans dessert magazine that just came out it was a hit! i am thinking i can use any fruit with it so maybe next time i will try something more berry. we picked Buddie up from the vet Tuesday afternoon he has been hopping around for 2 weeks and so i took him back and 350.00 dollars later i did not find anything else out i am in the wrong profession, they want us to crate him but i cant do that he is a big dog he will think he is in trouble. so i hope the leg gets better or there maybe two family members hopping around!

Tuesday val and Dave invited us over since we took care of val while he went fishing, we had val over last week wed and Thursday we made sloppy Joe's wed and watched American idol and Thursday we watched hells kitchen Ronnie called that one he said Danny would win and he did! so young like 23 and now look at the doors that have opened i hope he is a success! so Dave BBQ veggies and steaks yum and we had salad and baked potatoes we watched American idol i think Chris did a better job even though i like Adam more oh well we will see Wednesday

last Tuesday i was called off then wed we went to the memorial so there is a gap in my blog it was a hard week i worked Friday, sat, Sunday the above pic was taken Monday we had mike and Noah over. mike was so funny i let Noah drive me to Lowe's that was scary he just got his license no just kidding he is a great driver, but i felt really old we moved to this neighborhood when he was 13 so here i am in the pas sager sit feeling one, old because he runs into some friends and feeling sad because his mom is not in the car. the guys barbecued while we were gone and when i got back i opened the back door and there was mike all wrapped up with cherry netting and yelled at Ronnie for leaving him alone finally when he got unwrapped he dropped his clove in the BBQ so our meat at a hint of darjuim's! but i had to take this pic above he piled up his plate and he's eating and Noah looks over and says to mike you need a bib mike states" why do i need a bib i have this nice white shirt"

these are my tomato plants and yes i put the cages upside down but i think it works better when they get bigger i think i will just bend the tops down so they can go over it, at this moment i have 2 tomatoes i planted a yellow, a Roma and a beefsteak i hope i get lots of tomatoes so i can do some canning!

this flowers were not suppose to make it i did not even plant them last year i forgot and i found them still in a plastic container when i saw there was leaves i cut the plastic container off and now they have multiplied! i love the color i have been trying to incorporate more color in to the yard, maybe one of these days i will have this backyard done!

this me Sunday morning, we eat our meals outside now, the weather is great i love it!! i made omelets and we had left over watermelon and strawberries we homemade cream all from the party sat, it was a nice and relaxing day then off to work Monday

Sunday breakfast i made omelets and bacon had watermelon & strawberries with lisa's homemade whip cream & ronnie made me a bloody mary.we love to eat outside when the weather is nice ,i did some replanting then watched some t.v. Lisa,Noah,and mike came over for dinner Ronnie bbq'ed chicken with stubbs sauce it turned out pretty good. then another neighbor showed up we just talked for a while it was a nice ending to a great weekend!

sat we had some friends over mostly neighbors love this neighborhood i told Ronnie if we ever won the lottery we would stay and just improve our house and maybe buy some of the homes for sale for family! we had a great time Ronnie bbq'ed, i did 'nt make anything homemade i was soo tired i had gotten up at 430 this morning for the walk about 1230 the party was over last i heard mike and mike were downstairs wanting to make pancakes.

what a world wind week my friend died Monday of this week so one of our neighbor's arranged to do the Korman walk, so here we are bright and early sat morning i had no problems a little pain but nothing the cheesecake factory didn't fix afterward! in fact it is Monday i still have not eaten my cheesecake but we have had so many people come in and out all week and weekend with friendship and food! i was telling Ronnie that it was such a nice weekend to have so many people in and out of our house, that was one of the reasons why we choose this house because the layout was so open we could fit our friends and family in! Friday was a nice day too i met with a new friend i met at the hospital i was her nurse which this is not something i normally do but she was so friendly we hit it off! anyways we met up Friday and had lunch at panera and she took me to 3 of her favorite stores and they were so cute a sewing shop in newcastle and a used clothing shop, shabby furniture store antique in roseville loved it i also got to fit in the stamp store in roseville, and the antique trove where i found 2 old veggie crate boxes for my old cookbooks!

my dear friend went to heaven today, she battled cancer for two years, she will be missed we love you rene

i am so sorry, i spelling was really off last week i have not been sleeping well and so i feel like the walking dead but i have recovered untill the rain hits then i will have to brace myself again , i posted some cards i am been working on this week, hope you like them!
