i just recently made this card when you open it i have a little pocket that you put crystal light packs. it reads inside when life gives you lemons make lemonade.

we have to get a funnel cake i got raspberry this time yummy! i was suprised we got here about 11 am and stayed till 5 p.m. so we spent the whole day at the fair we had such a great time cant wait till next year!!

this "painting" was made out of bottlecaps very cool at least they are not in a landfield.

this was so cool it is a 3d replica of san francisco made out of toothpicks the guy said it took 35 years to make it was awsome, the guy also had "roadways" for balls and he would drop the ball and he would take you on different tours of the city and there was also a rainbow ball for the gay district.

Aug 26Th 2009 0600 am in the morning we got our numbers i am number 28 in line of a 100 plus people standing in line for almost 24 hours for my free bread at boudin opening in rose ville sorry for the blurry picture but i think it reflects what was going on we had so much fun standing in line we played uno, read and talked the weather wasn't bad but we had a loud talker and the lights were on all night next time i will bring ear plugs and a mask for my eyes and a new air mattress ours deflated in the night and then the sprinklers came on so i got a little wet but i would do it all over again. now i have 365 bread tickets for the year for yummy sourdough bread! oh and i managed to make it on TV i am on channel 13 i am the one that forgets how many days in a year oops i was tired. Oh and if i every have to stand in line again i will do it for boudin they feed us and was so nice to us!

Aug 25Th, 2009 Tuesday Lisa and i were going yo hook up to stand in line at boudin i thought i would check it out Tuesday on my was to the farmers market so i got ready thinking i would come home but that is not what happened Lisa checked out to see if any one was in line and there was so we started to hang out in line 08:30 am! boudin did feed us though there was only about 30 people at that time so we had a yummy breakfast for free! french toast , and ham and egg sandwich so yummy all using their bread! this is the bread crocodile that Lisa tripped over hope she didn't break it ?

Monday august 24Th , 2009 i decided to head to the Lincoln farmers market i got stuff for more salsa, and peaches. Ronnie and i made roasted tomato salsa, and we bottles the rest of our peppers . it was a nice day just us hanging out canning and watching Anthony Bourdain. For dinner we had pork chops and apples with Ronnie's special green beans from guy! Sunday i was called off we just hung out and BBQ with mike had a great time.

August 16Th 2009 Lisa, Phil and 2 kids they were babysitting came over and we hung out all day,we had SO much fun this is the first time Phil and Lisa had ever got into our pool since we have lived here which has been what about 4 years we all had so much fun just hanging out i played Marco polo with the kids i was so tired i think we headed to bed about 8:00. mike came over he made ribs which truned out so yummy, Ronnie made chicken and corn and i tired out a new recipe for orzo salad. that night were were so ex hasted Ronnie wanted to watch the solo est so i got it from red box he fell asleep and i watched it it was really good!

August 15Th, 2009 the Bergs had their annual end of summer party, Ronnie playing poker he didn't do very well. I had to work Friday so i was tired.

August 10Th, 2009 Monday i got more tomatoes to make salsa this was Ronnie helping me he loves to do the canning with me . we always have so much fun.

the goats and sheep are near our house over by the dog park so i got to see then twice this day on Monday before i headed out to the farmers market and then to my girlfriends daughter's house. don't you just love this picture he or she not sure is so cute!

August 10Th, Monday i decided to head over to green acres i need to do my fall planting i manage to plant my Brussels sprouts, cabbage i am going to retry my lettuce, i also got spinach. next time i need to get carrots and potatoes maybe green onions.

the sheep and goats hanging out i love this about Lincoln they let a local farmer graze on our wet lands it makes so much since if they are protected then their poop will help with the landscape even the blackberries.

August 5Th Tuesday i head out made a pit stop at the dog park i had not been there yet since they opened it, i love it it is huge with 3 different areas smaller dogs and then bigger dogs and then like a agility area we will have to bring our dogs there and the area they have kept natural looking with large cement walkways i really think Lincoln did a great job!

Sunday august 2ND,2009 we got up and had breakfast at awful Annie's yum they have the best breakfast in this area! then i headed to Lowe's i was good i only brought about 20.00 dollars in plants and i planted them too mostly ferns up against the house in the back it was a nice day not too hot i went swimming Ronnie was to chicken but the water was cool. he BBQ chicken for dinner and we had left overs we watched the next food network star the blood won we both liked the longed haired guy Jeffery oh well i bet he gets a show.

August 1st July 2009 i got up and headed to rose ville i hit the goodwill store i got 4bags of clothes cute stuff i pair of jeans still has a Macy's tag on it no one ever wore these jeans and i got them for 15 dollars. then to bevmo for cherry rum it is our new favorite with coke. we invited val and Dave over Ronnie made pork chops and fried rice with green beans from guy's restaurant, and then for dessert i made a Carmel, nut sauce over pineapple and ice cream.

Thursday i worked 30Th i got there early because there was a book i wanted at the bookstore well 5 books later and to much money spent i was still early i was marked down as a float just to help out so i didn't have to get any info regarding all the patients so i read then when i go there there was no nurse for 5 patients. well guess who had to take a team me believe me i was a little peied off i got a sorry from 1 person but it wasn't her fault. Friday 31st 2009 our social worker is checking out the house for a safety check so we over cleaned we were both just nervous as to someone coming in and judging us, but i think it went well she even left with jelly. i am sure she thinks we are some kind of hippies growing our food and canning or jamming. after that we decided we needed a treat so we got sushi at ninja sushi here in town it's pretty good. after that we decided to head to walmart to to our weekly shopping boy that place is always busy but left out of there with hundred dollars of groceries and i am sure we could eat off it for 2 weeks. i decided to can my okra Ronnie helped. i cant wait i love picked okra!!

wed 29Th July 2009 i am off today we have adoption/foster class every wed so this is our second class we went alone this day because Lisa is out of town this class was OK no guest speakers just a short movie on discipline and how you should discipline. we were a hour early because we didn't know how long it would take us so i think when blackberries are ready to pick we will go early because they are everywhere along the mountain drive we take to get there.

Monday 27, July 2009 i was off so i decided to pickle some of the peppers we have growing before they all go bad Ronnie cant eat them fast enough. he is excited but he will have to wait 3 weeks before he opens a jar! i also headed out to the farmers market for veggies for dinner. i always try to go to any local farmers market we need to support these farmers the closer to home you get your veggies the less of a carbon print you will leave on the earth OK i will stop with the sermon. Tue 28Th i headed out to the farmers market in rose ville i got okra to pickle and i was suppose to meet my friend but my car wouldn't start when i was trying to leave whole foods i tried saving the parking space next to me and i got the dirtiest looks from people there was room but people didn't understand , this upset me, but i did have 3 people come for me and 2 people to offer to come get me so i know i am loved! but trying to keep that space was tiring mental so i decided to go home instead of heading out to my girlfriends house. we made tacos for dinner and invited val we thought she may be a fishing widow but Dave got home early so they both joined us for dinner.

July 25Th , i got called off so Ronnie and i went to Dave and Val's she made clam linguine yummy i came home early my stomach was jacked up for the last 2 days who knows what it was but we came home and watched a movie called bottle shock it was a history of how California wine got noticed in France, i liked it. The 26Th i worked Sunday.

this pictures is of some of our produce from our back yard. Tuesday July 14Th i am off i hung out in the antique store after i went to the rose ville farmers market. I made bread and frozen yogurt today both came out so good. the bread was from a recipe from my bread machine book i made cheddar jalapeno bread but i think next time i will add more cheese. The frozen yogurt recipe i got from the food network magazine, it is from a place called Pink berry but i added more corn syrup. we watched 'PUSH' kind of a sci fi move pretty good. wed i work and Thursday the 16Th i had off we went to our first foster care/adoption meeting of many we will see if we are fit to be parents?

Friday 10Th, 11Th and 12Th i worked but i did get off early on Sunday the 12Th i came home with kfc and feed the boys i always say i wont eat that stuff and i end up regretting it but i always forget. Ronnie and i came home and finish watching the next food network star i think the older guy with long hair is going to win. Monday July 13Th i got up and headed to the farmers market in 12 bridges so we would have fresh veggies for dinner then i headed to green acres for some fall veggies i started planting my lettuce, green beans and squash (butternut). Ronnie made pasta for dinner and it turned out sooo good fresh veggies make a difference. i made buchetta for the first time some yellow, red tomatoes, basil, garlic and olive oil !

Jul 9Th i am off Thursday Ronnie made dinner a scalloped potatoes squash with tomato sauce and marinated pork yummy!

Sunday July 5Th Ronnie made breakfast a egg casserole dish it came out pretty good, we watch Bart blarley (cute movie) then later in the day we hung out over mikes swimming and bbqing it was a nice day to a busy weekend. July 6Th, 7Th, 8Th

and in the mist of the celebrations we were doggie sitting for miss Christina jade stayed with us she was good dog and so cute when we weren't paying attention she jumped up on the new couches it was hard to tell her no!

sat July 4Th, 2009 val and i headed over to green tangerine for their annual yard sale we both said we bought too much but it was fun i found some really cute d/c ed stamps from stamping up. we got home and took it easy Ronnie is making his Thai salad to take over Andie's, mike is bringing chicken so he grilled it over here while Ronnie and i went swimming . I invited people over for drinks before the party so i thought i would try a new recipe it was from guy the recipe called for watermelon schnapps, limes , blue Curacao, and jalapenos spicy and sweet i don't think i will make it again it turned out pretty though!

here is one of the pizza's the kids made i had so much fun i am sure they did too! after we ate all of the pizza we could handle we headed across the street and went night swimming then everyone walked down the street to check out Terrie's float for the parade on sat the 4Th. busy day SO tired off to sleep around 12:00

July 3rd we had a nice day just the two of us hanging out swimming, and planning for the 4Th. later this day we made pizza with mike and the kids.

we jumped in the pool then Ronnie did some grilling i got a marinade at the farmers market we had pork, Chinese salad it turned out pretty good i had red cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, cerely, red bell pepper, green onions, cilantro, tomatoes and peanuts with won ton chips on top! while i was watering the plants i found two birds on the grass in the front yard so we rescued them but them in a box and put them back in the tree we waited and watched and finally mama and papa found them thank god i was not looking forward to feeding them every half hour.

then we went to smith and Hawkins because i am looking for a compost bin but they have been so expensive the cheapest $99.00 it shouldn't be this expensive to compost . we were talking and Lisa said the high hand nursery had a restaurant and had changed so we headed out to loom is boy they really did some work they have a art gallery and a huge restaurant, bar and grill it really does look nice i think my mother in law would like it i love all their flowers and statues it was a muggy day so we didn't stay very long but i think it was worth the trek. then we grabbed frozen yogurt at our favorite place top this in rocklyn mine always looks like a fruit salad even the cashier said mine was pretty! and yummy !

Tuesday June30Th i am off i felt better no pain so i got up watered the plants then off to the farmers market in rose ville they had more vender's than Lincoln i hope one of these days people realize that this is the way we should start buying our food eat local buy local support your community!! anyways i got to see my friend Lisa today we met up did a few returns went to the mall i was just wandering around i had not been to the mall since i came with her a month ago. i was good i did not buy anything! then we had lunch at California pizza kitchen we split a Chinese salad and Thai pizza she ask me is it OK to mix the two i told her why not aren't they neighbors?

i worked June 28Th then i was off Monday June 29Th i headed to the book store i got 2 mags then headed home this has not been a good day for me,i have a lot of back, sciatic pain so i pretty much stayed in bed or got in the pool i hate these days i have it off and there is so much for me to do but it is like god kicks me in the butt and says not today. i did manage to get to the store we had BBQ chicken and corn salad with onions carrots tomatoes and blue cheese and i mixed BBQ sauce and ranch for the dressing. it turned out yummy when it is hot like this we will eat salad every night. then off to bed i think i fell asleep around 930 i didn't have to read at all which is unusual for me i was tired.

June 27Th i got called off so i went to Lowe's got some paint, i am going to paint the wicker chairs i have on the porch i think they will look good, i guess we will see then i found 2 huge flowering trees on clearance for 7.00 each when normally they are 34.00 so i had to stuff those in the car my hand got all scratched up it look like i got in a fight. when i got home Ronnie kept telling me where are you going to put them i told him i will figure it out and then when i do it will be where ever i like! we invited val over since Dave is in the hills hiking we made steak shrimp with mango salsa and grilled garden fresh veggies topped with Mexican cheese yum! Terri and the kids showed up just in time for dessert pineapple coconut ice cream and grilled pineapple.

June 25Th Thur i was off so we decided to go to the local farmers market it was so hot and Ronnie complained the whole time we didn't stay very long we got what we needed for dinner tonight we had val and Dave over because they looked after the puppies last weekend they are such great neighbors! we had a great time then off to bed we finished gran torino it was so good but disturbing also. i had weird dreams that night. micheal jackson is gone, as you can tell from this picture which was taken in 1983 that i loved him. One of my girlfriends and i had a huge scrapbook and we would save anything that we found of him. He was a icon even though he was odd but most famous people are! He will be missed.
